Stephen Evans, the inspiration behind the hugely successful Totnes Classic Car show, has died suddenly.
Stephen started the event in 2021 and took the lead in the annual event with great energy and enthusiasm.
Ian Bentlett, President of the Rotary Club of Totnes said yesterday, “It is with great regret, that I must advise you all that our great friend and colleague Stephen very sadly passed away this afternoon with his family by his side.
Stephen was a true Rotarian, always thinking of others and an outstanding, leading member of our club. As he would say, he was very much a half full person, always full of enthusiasm. Many of the activities undertaken by the club over the years are down to him especially of course our most recent and very successful Classic Car Show
I think everyone will agree Stephen's departure will make a huge difference and we will all miss him. The club will never be the same again, but we will ensure he will be remembered.”
