David Irish, head of Design and Technology at King Edward VI Community College Totnes, is using the college's 3D printers to produce safety visors for emergency and care workers in Totnes and South Hams. Totnes Rotary has provided funding for two additional printers and raw materials to make about 300 visors. Over 100 have already been distributed to health care professionals and to care homes.
With further funding the team will be able to produce more pieces of this essential kit.
